WanderPins store screens: bring us new concepts

We have the story, the copy and the screens. We want fresh visual treatments of the same eight panels. Four directions exist already (shown below) and none is final. Surprise us, within the rules.

01The product in four sentences

WanderPins is a private map of travel spots you share only with people you follow and who you approve. You snap a photo, the app pins it with the location and date, you add the note. Friends see your pins on their map and in their feed, save them to lists, check in when they go, and pass lists on with a link. The line is friends, not robots: recommendations from people you trust, never reviews from strangers.

Camping and vanlife lead the imagery (that is where the community starts) but the words are about travel and friends. The copy and design never say "camping app".

Positioning lines already approved: Wander far. Share close. · Friends, not robots. · Five friends. Not five million.

02The ask

Design one or more new treatments for the eight-panel phone set below: a visual system (ground, type, colour, how the phone sits, how the "amplified" piece of UI is lifted out of the screen) applied to every panel. Keep the copy and the screens as given unless you have a strong reason, and say why if you change them.

04The eight panels

Headline (accent phrase in colour), subline, and the screen with the element to lift. These are the current copy and captures; the screens are in §05 at a size you can work from.

Tablets and Android. iPad carries panels 1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 8. Android tablets carry 1, 2, 4. Android phone reuses the iPhone captures on a frameless 1080 × 2160 panel (Play rejects anything taller than 2:1).

05The screens

Real captures, iPhone 6.9" (1320 × 2868), status bar set to 9:41. Names, faces and handles in frame are real friends of the founder on the test account; do not swap them for stock people.

07What exists: four treatments on the same eight panels

All four share one layout: headline, subline, a phone running off the bottom of the panel, one lifted element. What differs is the system around it. Use these as the baseline to beat, not as a template.

Night Camp

Night Camp treatment, eight iPhone panels

Spruce ink ground with faint topographic contours, an amber route line running behind the phones from panel to panel, amber glow behind the device. Bricolage Grotesque 800 headline, bone with one amber phrase; Instrument Sans subline. Premium, but dark map screens sink into it at thumbnail size.

Day Camp

Day Camp treatment, eight iPhone panels

The same system in daylight: mist ground, the same contours, spruce ink type, ochre accent. The founder's requested light sibling of Night Camp.

Quad

Quad treatment, eight iPhone panels

A survey quad: map-paper ground, warm contours, a dashed route, a mono eyebrow that numbers the panel and names the place (01 / 08 · The West). Bitter slab headline with a blaze-orange phrase. Reads like a field guide.

Parks

Parks treatment, eight iPhone panels

A national-parks poster: one flat colour per panel cycling sky, ochre, sage and terracotta, a pale sun disc behind the phone, Big Shoulders condensed caps in two-tone ink, hard offset shadows. Loudest in the grid; reviewers ranked it first for thumbnail pop.

Three Night Camp panels at working size

Night Camp panel 1Night Camp panel 3Night Camp panel 6

Left to right: the hero with the magnifier on Baja; the camera with the auto-filled rows lifted; the list with the chat card. The chat is deliberately generic (grey bubbles, no iMessage or WhatsApp chrome) and shows what the shared link really unfurls to.

Tablet and iPad versions of Night Camp

Night Camp on iPad and Android tablets

Top row iPad 13", then Android 10" and 7". Same system, fewer panels.
